Immersion trip to Timor Leste
"It was a life changing experience" (Feedback from the May 2016 immersion)
LETS, in partnership with Catholic Mission, is conducting an immersion trip to Timor Leste from 4-12 June 2017.
The immersion will feature the opportunity to:
- spend time in Timor-Leste capital, Dili, learning about the history and culture of the Timorese people
- stay with the community of Letefoho and witness first-hand the grace and generosity of the Timorese people
- observe projects supported by LETS
- immerse yourself in the day-to-day lives of local people at school, work, home and Mass
- experience the scenic and beautiful mountainous area of Letefoho.
The 2017 trip with Catholic Mission presents new opportunities to enjoy the immersion experience with a safe and experienced operator.
This is the fourth LETS immersion to Timor-Leste, following successful trips in 2013, 2015 and 2016. The journey is a moving experience that will challenge you to see, feel and act in a new way.
The cost is $3,700 per person, which includes flights and visas, entrance fees, accommodation, meals, transport, an experienced Catholic Mission facilitator accompanying the group, travel insurance, International SOS risk management coverage, a pre-trip preparation session and more. Participants need to register and pay the deposit by 17 February 2017.
